Situated in a high rise condominium in Miami, Florida the Ulman Residence has spectacular views of Biscayne Bay. The owners, based in the Northeast, were looking for a place for their winter retreats.

One of the main goals in the renovation was to open up the kitchen to the fantastic views while creating an entertainment area for the family. The new kitchen cabinetry consists of white wood upper cabinets and light grey base cabinets with solid white Quartz countertops. The existing high ceilings with exposed concrete beams were painted and patched to add additional spaciousness. Streamline cable track lighting mounted adjacent to the ceiling beams offer subtle glows in the evening that play against the City lights. The light color scheme, concrete inspired floor tiles, and modern furniture pieces were a welcome contrast to their warm wood accented home in the Northeast.

A playful blue mosaic backsplash and window sills provides a whimsical touch to the otherwise neutral palette of white, grey, and metal.

Other items in the scope of work included new solar shades, living room, bedroom, and kitchen furnishings, custom millwork table, and door hardware.

Renovation was completed in November 2012.
